PURE MOUNTAINS
ABOUT
Experience the enchanting stillness of Ladakh in winter, when the high mountains lie buried under deep snow and the valleys glisten with a thin layer of frost and frozen streams. During this season, Ladakh transforms into a realm of silence and purity — a place where nature slows down, and ancient traditions come alive.
This journey offers an opportunity to explore Ladakh’s centuries-old monasteries, attend local monastic festivals at their most authentic, and witness the mesmerizing oracle trance rituals, where monks enter deep meditative states believed to channel divine energies. Amidst the crisp mountain air, you’ll also have a chance to encounter the elusive snow leopard, one of the world’s rarest big cats, along with other high-altitude wildlife.
The itinerary includes village-to-village treks, crossing a high pass of around 4,900 meters, offering breathtaking views of snow-clad peaks and remote settlements. Throughout the journey, you’ll stay in local homestays, sharing warmth, food, and stories with Ladakhi families.
This Winter in Ladakh – In-Depth experience combines adventure, culture, and spirituality, revealing a side of the Himalayas few ever see — serene, sacred, and stunningly beautiful.
